GSK E-Learning Platform

Due to the level of confidentiality, I have omitted specific details regarding my process and designs. Any information in this case study is my own and does not necessarily reflect the views of GlaxoSmithKline or MRM. Please reach out directly to learn more.

The challenge

Pharmacists were asking for educational material to guide an influx of customers coming into pharmacies seeking answers related to Covid-19. So, GSK decided to roll out an e-learning platform, which meant re-skinning an existing platform used by their German market. However, using this legacy platform was not appropriate for the context and audience we were trying to solve for. We needed a completely new approach.

Solution

I designed and pitched a new e-learning platform using a hub and spoke model for GSK after doing research on the e-learning space. I designed the web product and information architecture from scratch, consisting of 3 modules and an interactive experience piece for each module.

Team and my role

I was the UX lead on this project. The team consisted of an engineer lead, visual designer, copywriter, and 2 project managers. This project was highly collaborative as we were running against strict time constraints and needed to start development ASAP.

3 weeks from project kick-off to approved final designs.

Impact

The product is currently under development. The goal is use this work to inform the build of a design system to support future digital product needs by GSK.
